About this role
We are looking for experienced bailiffs to support our recovery efforts across northern BC. Hours are flexible, however applicants must be willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
The applicant must have a pragmatic and calm disposition.
Duties include:
* Attending residential addresses in attempt to locate assets or gather information, this includes early attendances, door knocking, and speaking to neighbours. * Calling debtors, their employers, debtor contacts, tow yards etc. * Working with and developing relationships with towing/transport companies and drivers to facilitate pickup and relocation of assets. * Managing your own schedule and working independently to track down files. * Providing current and frequent file updates. * Managing multiple files while staying organized and efficient. * Ensuring discretion and confidentiality when dealing with individuals private legal matters
The individual must have:
* No criminal record. Police background check will be required. * Hold a valid driver?s licence. * Complete bailiff licence application and exam. * Be able to work weekdays, weekends, and evenings. * Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and collected in moments of conflict.
