JKCE Probuild Contracting Corp. is a growing general contractor specializing in residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use construction projects throughout British Columbia. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Ironworker to join our team.
*Responsibilities*
* Install and erect structural steel, miscellaneous metals, stairs, handrails, guardrails, and other steel components. * Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications. * Position, align, and secure steel members using rigging equipment, aerial lifts, and hand tools. * Bolt, weld, and fasten steel components as required. * Assist with unloading, handling, and organizing materials on site. * Coordinate with the Site Superintendent and other trades to complete work safely and efficiently. * Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements. * Maintain a clean and safe work area while following company policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.
*Qualifications*
* Minimum 2 years of ironworking or structural steel installation experience. * Ability to read construction drawings and layout information. * Experience using rigging equipment, aerial lifts, and common power and hand tools. * Fall Protection certification is required. * Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) certification is an asset. * Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence and reliable transportation are preferred. * Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights in various weather conditions. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
*Schedule*
* Monday to Friday * 8-hour shifts * Overtime as required * Occasional travel to project sites throughout British Columbia may be required
Pay: $26.00-$40.00 per hour
