*POSITION OVERVIEW*
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RVT to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role assisting our veterinarians, delivering top-notch care to animal patients including companion and exotic species, and supporting clients with their pet healthcare needs. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for animal welfare, strong technical skills, and a warm, empathetic approach to client communication.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
Clinical & Patient Care
* Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries for companion and exotic animals * Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiography, anaesthesia monitoring, and dental prophylaxis * Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as directed by veterinarians * Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information * Provide compassionate care to animal patients and empathetic support to their owners * Participate in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the clinic and equipment
Technology & Digital Innovation
* Operate multimodal anaesthetic monitors including capnography, and deliver CRIs via syringe pumps * Run AI-assisted in-house laboratory analysers and perform hands-free digital radiography * Conduct dental X-ray and scaling procedures * Support TELUS Virtual Vet Tech consultations as opportunities arise * Contribute to client education content for TELUS Digital Retail channels * Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
*QUALIFICATIONS*
Required
* Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) licence (required) * Graduation from an accredited Veterinary Technician programme * Strong knowledge of veterinary medical procedures, techniques, and terminology * Proficiency in venipuncture, radiography, anaesthesia monitoring, and dental procedures * Exceptional communication skills, both with clients and within the team * Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment * Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Richmond, BC before starting work
*Preferred*
* 1+ year of veterinary technician experience * Experience with exotic animal care * Experience with telehealth or virtual care platforms * Interest in digital client education or content creation * Comfort with AI-assisted diagnostic tools and emerging veterinary technologies * Empathetic, compassionate, and patient-centred approach to animal care

*SCHEDULE, PAY & WORK DETAILS*
* Work Location: In person ? Richmond, BC * Shifts: 10-hour shifts available * Schedule: Monday to Saturday * Overtime available * Minimum 1 year RVT expereince with RVT certification * $28.00 - $36.00 per hour * Hourly wage is variable based on experience
