We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to lead our café operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel experience is highly valued, along with a background in food preparation and team supervision. The Cafe Manager will play a key role in maintaining high-quality service and operational efficiency.
*Duties*
* Oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service * Supervise and train staff in food preparation, serving, and food handling procedures * Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling * Lead team management activities including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations * Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations * Coordinate food preparation and kitchen activities to maintain quality standards * Handle customer inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers as needed * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café environment * Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and repeat business
*Experience*
* Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant setting * Extensive food industry knowledge including food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations * Experience with restaurant management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively * Background in hospitality or hotel management is advantageous * Experience in interviewing and hiring staff members * Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly * Knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations * Prior barista experience or bar management experience is a plus * Previous restaurant or café management experience preferred but not required; leadership qualities are essential
