Job description:
We are seeking an associate suited to working in a team environment, and with a minimum of two years of experience. Our ideal candidate has appeared at different levels of court, and various types of hearings.
*Responsibilities:*
* Representation of clients at all levels of Court across Alberta. This encompasses:
- Legal research. - Draft, review and filing of legal documents. - Maintenance of files. - Providing legal advice in all matters related to family law. - Representation of clients in an ethical, professional manner.
* Ongoing professional development. * Collaboration with the partners and other associates in the carriage of files.
*Requirements and Preferences:*
* Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited law school or Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation. * Must be an active member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. * Additional years of experience are a considerable asset. * At least two independent references must be provided.
