About this role
We are currently looking to hire a full-time liquor store sales clerk to join our team. The position will report directly to the store manager.
*Tasks*
* Provide customer service and handle customer queries, complaints, and refund of products * Operate sale till and authorize and make payments by cheque for vendors * Keep track of inventory and ensure inventory is stocked up * Authorize and make payments by cheque and credit/debit card payments * Assist sales team and ensure a positive and safe working environment is maintained * Tabulate total payment for goods or services required and receive payment for goods or services * Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales * Stock shelves and clean counter area, Wrap or place merchandise in bags * Verify the age of customers when selling alcohol products to person who looks younger than 25 years * Order and receive liquor and other supplies
*Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:*
* Must be at least 18 years of age * Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent Team Player and flexible schedule
*Work Environment:*
* Salary: $15 to $18/hour based on experience * Working Hours: Full time position; 30 to 50 hours per week * Working Shifts: 5 to 6 days per week (Morning/Evening shifts) * Eligible for bonuses based on performance and sales * Fast paced and tight deadlines from time to time * May require handling of heavy loads and extending periods of walking and/or standing
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
