About Our Opportunity
Under the general direction of the Stockroom Supervisor the Supply Tech 1 initates, coordinates the procuring of stock for the fleet inventory of the Central Mechanical Branch operation at Miller Lake. The supply Tech 1 also informs and supports the Provincial Inventory Coordinator in maintaining sound procedures for the procurement of stock flow for all fleet inventories throughout the province.
Primary Accountabilities
Determines time, cost and quality of stock items to maintain the servicing of the departments fleet within a timely manner while taking into consideration the carry costs and storage of inventory. Verifies changes to minimum and maximum reorder points to achieve optimum inventory stock. Communicates with parts and supply representatives to ensure best pricing and service from individual vendors. Where standing offers are not in place the Supply Tech 1 builds relationships with preferred vendors to achieve best value as it applies to needed goods and services. <spa
