Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Repair cracks and holes. Mix paint to desired colour and texture. Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls. Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings. Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging. Estimate costs and materials. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility.
