Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Installation. Shop fabrication. Various locations. On-site fabrication. Retrofit. Tasks: Manufacture and assemble in the factory the ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning and ventilation. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification. Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training. Level one apprenticeship training. Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Level five apprenticeship training. Specialization or experience: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence.
