About this role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Dental laboratory technology/technician. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions. Train other dental laboratory assistants. Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases. Prepare dental instruments and filling materials. Maintain and order supplies. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures. Polish and buff dentures. Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
