Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Residential. Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Supervise other workers. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear. Personal suitability: Accurate. Reliability. Values and ethics.
