Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Courier company. Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Load and unload goods. Sort packages for delivery. Follow directions and read map. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Provide customer service. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Client focus. Organized. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment.
