Group Overview:
The Value-Added Services team is responsible for the short and long-term growth of merchant acceptance for Visa’s existing and new digital products and services. The team achieves success by working with and through acquiring partners, key merchant partners, and technology firms driving innovation in the marketplace. This Thailand-focused role will require you to work closely with regional Southeast Asia stakeholders.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
What an Acceptance Solutions Sales Engineer does at Visa:
The Acceptance Solutions Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical and functional expertise across Visa’s Acceptance Solutions, Payments, and Fraud Management capabilities. This role is primarily focused on pre-sales consultation, solutioning, and technical advisory activities. You will engage with clients to understand business processes, requirements, and pain points, and recommend best-in-class payment and fraud prevention strategies.
You will lead technical pre-sales discussions, solution design workshops, and architectural conversations with prospects and existing clients. The role involves demonstrating how Visa Acceptance Solutions and Integrated Commerce capabilities can be aligned to clients’ existing business processes and technical environments, addressing technical questions and influencing solution decisions.
You will work closely with regional sales teams, product teams, and other internal stakeholders to support revenue growth. Success in this role is measured by revenue contribution, quality of solution design, and successful progression of clients through the sales cycle.
Responsibilities:

The Acceptance Solutions Sales Engineer, Thailand plays a pivotal role in advancing Visa’s digital payments strategy across Asia Pacific by partnering closely with sales to deliver technically robust, scalable Acceptance Solutions for the Thai market. Sitting at the intersection of technology and commercialization, this role works directly with acquiring banks, payment service providers, merchants, and ecosystem partners to shape differentiated solutions that meet local market needs. Through strong technical expertise and consultative engagement, the role helps drive revenue growth while reinforcing Visa’s position as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in the evolving payments ecosystem.

You will work closely with regional sales teams, product teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to support revenue growth across Card Present, Card Not Present, and Integrated Commerce opportunities. Success in this role is measured by contribution to pipeline and revenue growth, quality of solution design, and the ability to effectively progress clients through the sales cycle.

Minimum 8 years of experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, solution architecture, or related rolesStrong understanding of SaaS based bankcard acquiring, payment gateways, payment security and fraud prevention solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsBroad technology knowledge including APIs, web services, and modern application architecturesFamiliarity with merchant e-commerce platforms, storefront, and shopping cart technologiesAbility to influence and collaborate with diverse, globally distributed stakeholdersExperience working across Asia Pacific markets, particularly Southeast Asia and ThailandRevenue-oriented mindset with comfort operating in growth and greenfield environmentsBachelor’s degree or equivalent required Visa is an EEO Employer.
