Main duties of the job As a Support Worker at Enable, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the lives of young individuals with complex support needs. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, possess great people skills, and approach the role with a positive and proactive mindset. The primary responsibilities include supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and other complex needs. The role will be based in Devizes and the surrounding area, working alongside the Outreach Team in Wiltshire. The position requires providing support to clients in their own homes, aiding them to live as independently as they can. This involves facilitating access to community services, building life skills, and helping achieve personal goals while maintaining a person-centered approach that promotes choice, dignity, and inclusion. Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating -effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods

Engaging -promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
