Our Community Inpatient Unit is a bed-based facility supporting people to recover and regain their independence following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or significant event. It supports hospital discharges, prevents admission to hospital or long-term care and promotes independent living. Its a multi-disciplinary service with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, and care staff.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis covering days, nights, weekends, bank holidays

Salary Range 4 £26,416 - £28,182 you will be appointed on a fixed salary point within the salary range
Community Inpatient unit is a bed-based facility supporting people to recover and regain their independence following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or significant event. It supports hospital discharges, prevents admission to hospital or long-term care and promotes independent living. Its a multi-disciplinary service with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, and care staff.
As the lead medicator you will be supervising staff and working with the unit manager, contributing to policies related to medications as requested by the Unit Manager as well as administration and promoting medication for patients/ services users within the unit.
You will work within the CQC standards and ensure various risk assessments around medication and to ensure comprehensive records are kept.
Ideally you will have a foundation degree or willingness to work towards, and safe handling of medications.

Qualifications Essential
Foundation degree or equivalent in Health and Social Care Safe Handling of Medication Certificate or any equivalent qualification Level 2 English, Maths and IT or equivalent level of competence
