We are hiring a Project Manager to support delivery of the ARCs Programme. The establishment of a national Assessment and Recovery Centre (ARC) will extend equitable access to life-saving products and treatments to everyone that needs them, helping to bridge the gap between shortage of organs available and demand.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with exceptional stakeholder, communication, and analytical skills. If you are adaptable, have a getitdone mentality, outstanding organisational skills, and the ability to make decisions under pressure, this role could be for you.
Main duties of the job
As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering strategic change initiatives that support NHSBT's objectives and contribute to improving and saving lives. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead standalone projects or support programme delivery, ensuring projects are delivered effectively, achieve intended benefits and align with organisational standards and priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the full project lifecycle, including governance, design, planning and implementation, ensuring delivery of agreed outputs and benefits within defined tolerances.Acting as the project subject matter expert and supporting the delivery of standalone projects or programmes, including business case development.Leading and motivating multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities and deliverables.Maintaining appropriate project governance and controls, proactively managing risks and issues to support successful delivery.Supporting the effective use of resources through ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting, including budget oversight.Producing timely, high-quality progress reports that support effective decision-making and meet stakeholder and CPMO requirements.Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and partner organisations to support engagement and successful project delivery.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Educated to Master's degree level in a relevant subject, or demonstrable knowledge and experience equivalent to a Master's level. PRINCE2 Practitioner certification Agile training or an Agile DSDM qualification. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing Continued Professional Development (CPD).
Experience Essential
Significant experience in the day-to-day management of projects, including planning, , risk and issue management, and business readiness. Proven knowledge and experience in effectively closing projects and embedding lessons learned to drive continuous improvement. Experience in implementing organisational policies within a project context and contributing to the development of new policies or services. Experience of managing budgets and forecasts for projects and managing procurement of assets and supplies. Knowledge and practical experience of the '5 Case Model' for business cases. Knowledge of change management and experience of supporting people through complex change Advanced Key board skills
