Position Summary/Overview: This role is fast paced and carries the day-to-day support that keeps everyone working as best they can, handling walk-ins, emerging-technology triage, day-to-day printer management, classroom/AV break-fix, and front-line event support. The technology enablement specialist turns recurring problems into permanent fixes through documentation, training, and small projects. Responsibilities: Service Desk & Front-Line SUPPORT Work assigned FMX tickets to resolution; deliver Tier 1 / Tier 2 support for faculty, staff, and students Be the first in-room responder for walk-ins and the first hands-on triage for emerging technology requests. Reduce repeat tickets by turning fixes into knowledge-base articles and short training. Devices, Printers & AV Own day-to-day printer / MFP fleet management, supplies, vendor coordination, reliability; support the Director of Technology's move to cloud print management. Classroom and non-classroom AV break-fix (panels, projection, audio); escalate cabling/network to the Network Administrator. Provide front-line event AV setup and support in the team coverage rotation. Own student device repair and loaner program (warranty, tracking, damage workflow). Faculty Enablement, Systems & Documentation Lead new-hire IT onboarding and recurring drop-in training. Day-to-day administration of Canvas and Otus; validate Authentica-driven account provisioning. Day-to-day SaaS license administration, track subscriptions, surface renewals, right-size with the Director of Technology. Build and maintain the team and faculty knowledge base and operational runbook. Shared Team Responsibilities Share evening/weekend event coverage and the summer device-imaging cycle with the team. Requirements 3+ years technology support, ideally K-12, independent school, or higher education. Practical fluency across macOS/iOS, Windows, and ChromeOS; user-level comfort with an MDM (Jamf, Intune, or Google) and an identity platform (Entra, Google, or Okta). LMS administration (Canvas, Otus, or equivalent); printer/MFD fleet experience; comfortable working a ticketed service desk. Strong communicator who translates technology for non-technical users; ownership mindset; mission-aligned and service-oriented. Willing to staff occasional evening/weekend events. Bachelor's preferred; equivalent experience considered. Additional Requirements: Have a current Adult and Children CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (or receive one soon after hire date) Meet the school’s standards when completing two separate background screenings Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, manage long days, and support body with core muscles. Fine Motor Skills: Using hands to grasp, move, or assemble small objects (e.g., papers, writing). Sensory: Clear hearing and vision Ability to sit and keyboard for up to 8 hours per day & lift up to 30 pounds (file boxes).
