The Role
As an Integration & Automation Engineer within our client's Professional Services team, you'll be the technical bridge between our client's platform and our customers' real-world systems and workflows.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you'll work directly with clients to understand their needs, design practical solutions, and bring them to life through integrations, automations, and data workflows. You'll act as a trusted technical partner throughout implementation and beyond, helping customers get the most out of our client's platform.
What You’ll Work On
Customer Solutions: Work directly with customers to understand their requirements and translate them into well-designed, practical technical solutionsData Integration & Mapping: Design and implement data interfaces between our client's platform and customers' existing systems translating, mapping, and transforming data structures so information flows reliably between platformsData Enrichment & Cleanup: Ensure the data running through customer interfaces is accurate and usable building enrichment logic, handling edge cases, and cleaning up messy real-world data before it causes problems downstreamConfiguration + Scripting: Combine our client's platform configuration with targeted scripting to achieve automations and data workflows that neither approach could deliver alone this is where creativity meets technical craftCustom Tooling & Reporting: Build lightweight scripts and tools that customers can run themselves purpose-built for their specific reporting needs, operational triggers, or one-off automation tasksTroubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose and refine existing customer setups, ensuring stability and continuous improvementTechnical Partnership: Serve as a reliable technical partner for customers during implementation and ongoing optimization phases
Requirements
About You
Must Haves
1–4 years of relevant practical experience, or a strong early-career profile with a hands-on, get-things-done attitudeStrong problem-solving mindset with a genuine drive to find solutions with and for customersComfortable communicating complex topics clearly to non-technical stakeholdersSolid understanding of APIs, data structures (JSON/XML), and system interactionsScripting proficiency, primarily in PythonInterest in automation, data flows, and technical workflowsCollaborative, adaptable, and eager to grow your technical expertiseYou thrive in environments where no two customer challenges are the sameWorking proficiency in both German and English (essential)Nice To Have
Experience with data integration platforms (NiFi would be a strong plus, though our client knows it's rare)Background in customer-facing, consulting, or implementation rolesDegree or training in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a comparable technical fieldBenefits
