About this role
We are seeking a licensed Optician to join our team at our Kanata location. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional vision care and customer service. A valid Ontario Optician license is required.
Duties include:
* Deliver customer service that focuses on the customer's unique vision needs and lifestyle requirements * Stay current with eyewear fashion trends and product knowledge * Provide professional customer service and personalized frame styling recommendations * Take measurements for fitting of eyewear and perform adjustments as needed * Sales and payment processing including insurance billing * Dispense eyewear and contact lenses according to prescription specifications * Create lab orders for customer purchases and follow up on order status * Administrative duties including appointment scheduling and inventory management
Qualifications:
* Current Ontario Opticians licence required * Minimum 2 years of optical retail experience preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities * Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
