Industrial Metalwork Inc. is a mining and facility company based out of Tumbler Ridge BC and Grande Prairie, Alberta. We specialize in providing shop and field fabrication for facility and modular construction, maintenance and operations work on mining equipment, and fabrication for companies across Canada.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
* Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, compressors, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools. * Working on various equipment with regards to material handling. Can consist of repairs or replacements for: gear boxes, pulleys, sheaves, coupling, motors. * Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions. * Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems. * Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. * Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on various equipment on site, off site and underground. * Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery. * Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in industrial mechanics (millwright) or a combination of several years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in industrial machinery repair or millwright. * Prompt daily attendance at assigned schedule. * Good vision, hearing and must have the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in cramped or awkward positions, lift objects of 50lbs. * Must have good diagnostic skills. * Industrial Mining millwrights: 5 years (preferred) * 4 day on/3 day off shift , 12hr days * *Flexible LOA options* * *Travel Allowance Provided* * *Employee or Contractor (by hand) Position*

Pay: $55.00-$70.00 per hour
