*Job Summary:*
Supervise production lines and staff to ensure timely and efficient work flow, while meeting production targets as well as quality and food safety standards.
*Major Responsibilities Include:*
* Schedule packaging orders for the designated shift and supervise employees to ensure the work is completed timely, effectively and safely * Able to diagnose problems and operate machinery for packing produce * Monitor the quantity and quality of product ensuring that it is of the required standards * Train workers, managing more than 20 employees, maintain crop production reports, establish work schedules, resolve work related problems and handling heavy workloads, operating a forklift necessary. * Troubleshoot and complete routine repairs, general maintenance, and preventative maintenance on smaller machines and equipment. * Knowledge of PRIVA greenhouse climate control system, preferred * Maintain inspection of labeling and packaging specifications
*Qualifications:*
* Minimum of 1 year in a supervisor role leading a team of 10 - 20 employees; previous packing or production processing experience preferred * Must be flexible, adaptable and able to work in a fast paced environment * Bilingual English and Spanish an asset
*Work Environment:*
* This job operates in a hot, high humidity environment where temperatures average 90 degrees Fahrenheit, but may increase to approximately 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summertime. * The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to packaging machinery and forklift operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
