*Hiring: Health Care Aide (Edmonton & Area) ? $18/hr - $23/hr*
Prairie Med-Solution Inc. is hiring experienced Health Care Aides (HCAs) to support adults, children, and youth with complex medical and developmental needs in home and community-based settings.
*Work Settings*
* Family homes * Community programs * Respite care environments
*Core Responsibilities*
* Provide hands-on personal care, including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, feeding, and mobility support * Provide support to pediatric clients with medical needs * Support children with autism, developmental disabilities, and complex needs * Deliver behavioral and emotional support using a trauma-informed approach * Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols * Assist with medication administration when trained and delegated * Support life skills development and structured routines * Maintain professional communication with families and care teams
*Required Qualifications*
* Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent relevant experience * Must be registered in the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory, or eligible/actively pursuing registration * Medical experience working with pediatric clients is required * Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with individuals of all ages * Proven experience working with children with diverse abilities and/or special needs * Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and behavioral support
*Additional Requirements*
* Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search * Child Intervention Check * First Aid & CPR, or willingness to obtain immediately * Valid driver?s license and reliable transportation * Must own a vehicle with 4 doors * Willingness to complete mandatory training, both online and in-person
*Schedule*
* Casual, flexible shifts may include: * After-school hours * Evenings and weekends * Overnight shifts, as needed
