About this role
Responsibilities: - Provide primary care to patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adults, and seniors - Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments - Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries - Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans - Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions - Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record system (Epic) - Perform minor procedures, such as phlebotomy and wound care
Qualifications: - Valid degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program. - Current valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice. - Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the respective specialty area (e.g., Family Practice, Pediatrics, Adult-Gerontology) - Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred - Strong knowledge of primary care principles and practices - Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, specifically Accuro - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Skills: - Experience in Family Medicine practice treating medical conditions like Diabetes, HTN, dyslipidemia, back pain, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, pediatrics and seniors. - Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care - Strong clinical assessment skills - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
