Our pharmacy in Gabriola Island is looking to hire a pharmacy assistant to join our team! Computer efficiency and positive attitude are imperative for this position. Experience required for this opportunity.
This will be a part time role, with full time availability required from time to time to cover vacation and sick calls.
Shifts may vary and Saturday availability is required.
Responsibilities:
* intake and dispensing of prescriptions * using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels * ordering medications and medical/pharmacy supplies * maintaining and counting inventory * receiving, loading, and unloading deliveries * selling over-the-counter medicines and front store items * answering customers questions face to face or by phone * preparing, packaging, assembling and labelling medication * handling and processing till transactions * general cleaning and housekeeping * referring problems or queries to the pharmacist or pharmacy manager * additional duties when necessary * at least 2 years data entry experience

Wage will be based on experience level.
