About this role
We are looking for an apprentice to join our team! We are a fast-paced company with residential and commercial projects, and a service component too. The projects we work on are typically custom, high quality builds, with a lot of unique details. We also service home owners who have various troubleshooting issues, and we pride ourselves in our ability to get these customers back to 100% in a quick and friendly way.
As an apprentice with our company, you can expect to be working closely with our journeymen, wiring projects from start to completion. You will also ensure our shop is organized and tidy, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
There is no expected overtime work, so your evenings and weekends are your own!
*We are looking for someone who is:*
* in second to fourth term (minimum 1000 hours) * experienced in residential construction, both in houses and condominiums. Most of our work is home renovations. * reliable and prompt * organized, detail oriented, and tidy * presentable, professional, customer-friendly, and well-spoken * interested in AV, custom homes & commercial builds * fluent in English, both verbal and written * an excellent driver with a full license and clean driving record. (Note: You must have a reliable way to get to job sites throughout Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond)
*Additional assets include experience with:*
* soldering * lighting control (Lutron, Control4) * solar energy * structured audio systems * data / networking * fire alarm
