*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Line Haul Driver from North Bay/Sudbury to the GTA late afternoons and overnight. DZ license is required although an AZ license is preferred. Candidates need to operate commercial vehicles for long-distance freight transportation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering freight across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role requires a strong focus on vehicle operation, adherence to transportation regulations, and efficient route management to support our logistics operations.
*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate commercial trucks and freight vehicles over long distances according to company policies and federal regulations * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance * Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo * Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery logs * Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues during transit * Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability * Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during transportation activities * Assist with warehouse duties such as freight handling and inventory management when not on the road
*Skills*
* Valid DZ driver?s license (CDL) with clean driving record (AZ license preferred) * Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment * Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques * Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting skills beneficial * Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards * Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules * Physical ability to lift heavy loads and operate heavy machinery as required * Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and warehouse staff

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
