Quarter Cuts Ltd is actively seeking to hire one part time to full time butchers assistant. Must have previous experience in a butcher shop and be able to work in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will need to be versatile and willing to learn new skills.
Qualifications of the successful applicant include:
* ability to lift 60 lbs * ability to work using dangerous equipment (band saw, meat slicer, meat mixer, grinder) * ability to work in colder temperatures * regular and dependable attendance * strong compliance to safety procedures and guidelines * reliable transportation to and from the facility * maintain proper personal hygiene * ability to work well with others and work independently with minimal supervision * positive attitude towards the business and its customers * willingness to keep a very clean work space, includes doing dishes and cleaning larger equipment, floors and walls. * ability to work on a harvest floor once per week if short staffed

Duties will include but not be limited to: Grinding Meat, Tenderizing, Packaging, Sausage Making, Cutting Steaks, Marinating Meat, Prepping Bacon, etc. We are looking for someone versatile who can hop onto any job needed. If retail and sausage is slow - deboning carcasses may be included in the position.
Wage is dependent on previous experience, and performance. We are looking to hire an employee for a long term career.
Pay: $15.00-$25.00 per hour
