We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented *Pharmacy Assistant* to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in an Ontario pharmacy setting and be proficient with Kroll software. Excellent customer service and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Greet patients and verify prescription details accurately before processing * Enter patient information into *Kroll* and manage third-party adjudication * Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently * Maintain inventory and pharmacy stock using control systems * Assist customers with OTC inquiries and refer to the pharmacist when needed * Handle customer pickups and assist with cashier duties as required * Receive and process new and refill prescriptions in accordance with SOPs * Prepare and submit medication orders to suppliers * Manage incoming phone calls and direct to the pharmacist as necessary * Handle faxed prescriptions according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice * Scan and file documentation accurately and securely * Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pharmacy area * Uphold confidentiality and patient privacy at all times
Qualifications:
* *Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is REQUIRED* * *Proficiency with Kroll software is a MUST* * Excellent organizational and multitasking skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Proven customer service experience in a pharmacy setting * Comfortable using Microsoft Office and pharmacy-related software
Work Schedule:
* *Flexible hours*, Monday to Saturday (no evenings past 6:30 PM) * *Very limited Saturdays* (only until 3:00 PM) * *Sundays and all statutory holidays off*
This is a Part Time position that may cahnge to Full Time with benefits based upon performance
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
