*About the Role*
The Service Desk, Plumbing, Electrical & HVAC Associate provides expertise in Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC. This role combines customer service, merchandising, inventory management, sales leadership, and technical product expertise to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
*What You'll Do*
*Customer Experience*
· Deliver exceptional customer service and product advice.
· Build long-term customer relationships.
· Resolve customer concerns professionally.
· Source special orders and warranty replacements.
· Maintain a welcoming and helpful customer experience.
· Answer incoming calls and customer inquiries.
*Department Leadership*
· Lead the Service Desk and department associates.
· Train, coach and motivate team members.
· Maintain organized, fully stocked departments.
· Monitor product quality and presentation.
· Review new products and industry trends.
· Recommend assortment improvements.
*Merchandising & Inventory*
· Manage weekly inventory ordering.
· Review inventory levels and slow-moving products.
· Create promotional displays and endcaps.
· Assist with receiving, pricing and merchandising.
· Maintain clean, organized sales areas.
*Sales & Business Performance*
· Identify new sales opportunities.
· Attend Home Hardware Markets, seminars and trade shows.
· Achieve department sales goals.
· Provide expert advice in Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Hardware and Tools.
*What You Bring*
*Experience*
· Minimum five years of retail sales experience.
· Experience, knowledge and expertise in tools, hardware, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, along with building & renovations knowledge.
· Ability to work well with others and take direction from senior management.
· Strong family values are essential.
· Organizational skills required.
*Skills & Qualifications*
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
· Basic computer proficiency.
· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
· Comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Physically able to lift 30?50 lbs.
· Passion for helping customers and developing staff.
*Schedule*
· Full-time position (12-24 hours per week).
· Store hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM ? 8:00 PM, and Saturday, 8:00 AM ? 5:00 PM.
· Evening and weekend availability is required, including approximately two Saturdays per month.
