*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to a high standard of quality, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with various construction tasks and tools is highly valued, and candidates should be committed to safety and precision throughout their work.
*Duties*
* Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing materials to drywall surfaces for smooth finishes * Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes * Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements * Use hand tools such as trowels, knives, sanding blocks, and taping tools to achieve desired results * Operate power tools including drills, saws, and sanders safely and effectively * Install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to specifications * Caulk joints and seams for a clean finish * Assist with related tasks such as insulation installation, framing adjustments, or minor carpentry as needed * Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols on-site
*Experience*
* Prior experience with drywall finishing or related construction work is preferred * Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is beneficial * Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and drywall installation techniques * Construction experience across various trades such as carpentry, masonry, or painting is advantageous * Ability to interpret construction drawings and schematics accurately * Experience with related skills such as caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, welding, or concrete finishing is a plus * Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship * Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic construction environment
Pay: $20.68-$30.94 per hour
