About this role

Clean Harbors in Guelph, ON is seeking Field Service Technicians to join its safety-conscious FS Ontario team! This role is associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, working in confined spaces and the handling of hazardous materials. This role is based out of our Guelph, ON head office - however, it requires flexibility to travel throughout Ontario.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner. • Perform environmental remediation, hazardous waste management, and chemical/water spill cleanups. • Conduct tank and vessel cleaning, including confined space entry and work at heights. • Complete labor-intensive field service projects and emergency response activities. • Safely use hand tools, pressure washers, and other powered industrial equipment. • Wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators. • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class G license with reliable transportation required. • DZ license highly preferred. • Willingness to travel to various sites across Ontario as needed. • Previous labour or hazardous waste removal experience is highly preferred. • Industrial cleaning and chemical handling experience is an asset. • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving materials. • Willingness to be trained for confined space entry and work at heights. • Must be clean-shaven when required to ensure proper respirator fit and use.
