About this role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright to join our maintenance team. If you enjoy troubleshooting industrial equipment, working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and helping keep production running efficiently, we'd like to hear from you. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and production equipment while supporting preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Schedule: Rotating shifts - No on-call or outside of the scheduled hours (unless OT is required). Pay Rate: $26 - $35 per hour What You'll Do · Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve industrial machinery and production equipment. · Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment, including pumps, conveyors, valves, fans, heating/cooling systems, and production machinery. · Diagnose mechanical failures and complete repairs to minimize equipment downtime. · Install, modify, relocate, and commission manufacturing and packaging equipment. · Support equipment changeovers and process improvements for new products and production requirements. · Complete routine facility maintenance and general mechanical repairs as required. · Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals. · Maintain clean, safe, and organized mechanical work areas. · Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and inventory requests accurately. · Assist other skilled trades when required. · Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and workplace safety standards. · Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and operational efficiency. What We're Looking For · 3–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Millwright in a manufacturing or industrial environment. · Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal certification is preferred. · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. · Experience maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, motors, and production equipment. · Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. · Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is considered an asset. · Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and Lockout/Tagout procedures. · Excellent communication and teamwork skills. · Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. Preferred Qualifications · Food manufacturing experience is considered an asset. · Welding and fabrication experience is an asset. · Experience supporting continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives. · Forklift and aerial lift certifications are considered an asset.
