Evolution Catering & Events is expanding. We provide a high volume premium Off-site catering service to various locations across Central Alberta. We specialize in wedding services and are a preferred vendor for many surrounding wedding venues. We have locally sourced & inspired menus with an inviting atmosphere for all occasions. We are looking for someone who is excited to be an integral team member and help grow the brand.
Your main responsibilities will be the preparation and production of high quality food, and your other duties will include continuous hands-on training of all kitchen team members, menu planning, following purchase procedures, receiving, food storage and inventory control. This is a hands on working position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* This position will take the leadership role in preparation and production of all food requirements for our varied daily functions * Ability to maintain a positive and productive team environment * Assist with the continuous hands-on training of all kitchen team members and off-site service team while on location. * Must be focused on providing consistently high quality food and value * Assist with the maintenance of efficient purchasing, receiving, food storage and inventory control procedures * Packing, loading and execution of events * Ensure all kitchen team members are correctly trained according to AHS approved food handling procedures * Achieve and maintain full compliance with all regulatory health and safety codes in food preparation areas * Complete all standard requirements of Evolution Caterings health & safety training and maintain a strong workplace health and safety environment * Excel at Customer satisfaction & Client relations * Complete certification on WHMIS policies and procedures
Job Duties:
* Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required * Follow recipes and presentation specifications * Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently * Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation * Oversee kitchen operations - On & Off-site * Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment * Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
