Job Description
We are a construction company specializing in hotel renovations and hospitality improvement projects. We are seeking a dependable and hardworking *General Construction Labourer* to join our growing team. This position involves assisting skilled tradespeople with a variety of construction and renovation tasks while helping deliver high-quality renovation projects in active hotel environments.
Work locations vary depending on the project and may include hotels throughout Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, Breslau, and surrounding areas. Employees will report directly to the assigned job site or another designated meeting location as directed by the project manager.
Responsibilities
* Assist skilled tradespeople with general construction and renovation work. * Perform demolition and site preparation, including removing drywall, flooring, fixtures, and other building materials. * Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment. * Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively. * Assist with framing, drywall installation, painting preparation, flooring installation, and finishing work. * Help protect hotel property and surrounding work areas during renovations. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Remove construction debris and dispose of waste according to site procedures. * Follow all company safety policies and workplace health and safety regulations. * Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Qualifications
* Previous construction or renovation experience is an asset but not required. * Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs. * Experience using basic hand and power tools is an asset. * Experience operating heavy equipment or construction machinery is considered an asset. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Reliable transportation to various job sites is preferred. Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
