We?re looking for a highly motivated and charismatic individual to become part of our HR & Payroll team located in Aldergrove!
Scamp Transport is a family business that originally began in 1981 with just one truck. Through dedication, hard work, and a commitment to succeed, Scamp has evolved to become the premier bulk petroleum transporter in Western Canada. We?re now 97 trucks strong, with over 260 employees and 5 locations throughout BC and Alberta.
As the *HR & Payroll Administrator*, your main role is to ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time, and to provide ?customer service? to our 260+ employees and managers.
*Scope of Responsibilities*
* Prepare & process biweekly payroll and year-end tax slips * Facilitate employee onboarding and terminations * Administer the Scamp Group Benefit plan * Maintain personnel files * Assist management with the stewardship of discipline processes * Support / back-up to HR Manager for all HR functions
*Personal Skills & Competencies*
* Strong verbal and written communication skills * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office * Highly organized with strong attention to detail * Strong knowledge of Federal employment legislation * Thorough understanding of the full payroll cycle and year-end process * Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information
*Education & Work Experience Requirements*
* Completed (or in the process of obtaining) a PCP designation, or some similar coursework with at least 3 years experience in processing payroll * Experience with ADP Workforce Now an asset * Completed or working towards a CPHR designation
