We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Daytime Sous Chef to join our culinary team. *Duties*
* Assist the head chef in managing daily kitchen operations during daytime hours. * Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and food service team members, ensuring efficient workflow. * Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency. * Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and food safety regulations. * Manage food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health codes. * Support restaurant management in inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels. * Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality, ensuring excellent customer service. * Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards. * Monitor kitchen operations during shifts to ensure smooth functioning and resolve any issues promptly.
*Skills*
* Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment. * Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management. * Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. * Extensive food safety knowledge and adherence to health regulations. * Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred. * Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. * Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with staff and serving guests professionally. * Knowledge of food industry trends and culinary innovation is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
