We are seeking an experienced Workplace Coach / Technical Instructor - Aerospace to join our Human Resources and Learning & Development team. This role is responsible for developing, coaching, and mentoring apprentices while supporting workforce development within a regulated aerospace maintenance environment. Working collaboratively with supervisors, crew leads, and production teams, the successful candidate will help design and implement structured learning pathways for apprentices across multiple aviation maintenance disciplines. This individual will ensure apprentices receive high-quality technical training, meaningful hands-on experience, and ongoing coaching to develop the knowledge and competencies required for long-term success. In addition to apprenticeship development, the Workplace Coach / Technical Instructor delivers technical and workplace skills training, evaluates employee progress, supports performance development, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Location: Abbotsford, BC Shift: Mon-Fri- 7am-3:30pm Pay Range: $80,000-$95,000 Key Responsibilities • Deliver technical training through classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, and hands-on learning activities. • Develop, revise, and maintain technical training materials, course content, practical exercises, and examinations in accordance with applicable aviation regulations and organizational requirements. • Support apprenticeship programs by coordinating training rotations, monitoring progress, and ensuring completion of required competency documentation and logbooks. • Coach and mentor apprentices, team leads, and employees to support technical skill development and career progression. • Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure appropriate workforce capability and effective task assignments. • Assist with probationary and annual performance evaluations. • Monitor and report on departmental training metrics and key performance indicators. • Support onboarding initiatives and develop action plans based on employee feedback and engagement surveys. • Promote a positive workplace culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices within a regulated aerospace environment. • Working knowledge of applicable aviation regulations, technical manuals, quality procedures, standard operating procedures, and maintenance documentation. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively coach, mentor, and develop others. • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with experience delivering technical training. • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience using audio-visual equipment and modern training technologies. • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance practices, repair techniques, and technical documentation. Education • Certificate or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or a related technical discipline is considered an asset. • Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence (M2, E, or equivalent) is considered an asset. • Adult Education, Provincial Instructor Diploma, or equivalent instructional certification is c
