Job Overview: We are seeking multiple Skilled Production Climbing Arborists to lead a crew of 3 in tree pruning, removals, and maintenance. You will be operating bucket trucks, climb daily, and ensure safe, efficient operations. This role offers year-round work, competitive pay, and unique perks like early finishes and extended long weekends. For candidates outside of the geographical areas, free housing is also a possibility.
Salary:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour (with DZ or higher license) $1000 signing bonus after 3 months
Ability to quote with additional bonuses ($10 per quote on all quotes sent out. 3L of fuel per quote sent out. 4% commission on approved quotes.)
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm (as late as 3:30pm) (40 hours a week)
Key Responsibilities
• Lead a crew in tree pruning, removals, and stump grinding using safe climbing and rigging techniques.
• Operate and maintain equipment (chainsaws, chippers, bucket trucks, ropes).
• Perform tree health assessments and identify species with strong tree ID knowledge.
• Ensure job site safety, including pre-work risk assessments and equipment inspections.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to deliver exceptional service.
• Complete daily logs and maintain clean, organized work sites.
Requirements
• 2-3 years of Arborist experience, including climbing and crew leadership.
• Valid Ontario DZ driver's license with a clean abstract (may train for right candidate).
• Proficient tree identification skills and comfort climbing daily.
• Knowledge of safe rigging, pruning, and removal techniques.
• Physically fit to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights.
• ISA Certified Arborist or eligibility to obtain certification (an asset).
• Valid First Aid certification and Air Brake Endorsement (an asset).
