We are seeking a skilled Web Accessibility Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that web applications and digital content are accessible, compliant with industry standards, and optimized for all users. This role involves collaborating with front-end and back-end teams to implement accessibility best practices, enhance user experience, and support ongoing development projects across various platforms and technologies.
Duties
* Develop, test, and maintain accessible web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies such as Angular, React, jQuery, Bootstrap, SCSS, JSON, AJAX, and UI frameworks. * Integrate accessibility features into existing web solutions while ensuring compliance with WCAG, ADA, and other relevant standards. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design accessible UI/UX components that meet user needs across different devices and assistive technologies. * Implement and manage APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems. * Utilize version control tools such as GitHub and SVN for code management; employ CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. * Work with backend technologies including Java Spring Framework, Django, PHP, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite. * Conduct unit testing using frameworks compatible with JavaScript/TypeScript; ensure code quality through code reviews and testing protocols. * Optimize web performance through data visualization techniques and SEO best practices. * Support application development in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure; utilize DevOps tools like Jenkins and Ansible for deployment automation. * Maintain documentation of development processes using tools like Trello and Jira; adhere to SDLC methodologies.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in web development with a focus on accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+, ADA compliance). * Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), JavaScript (including frameworks like React or Angular), TypeScript. * Experience with front-end development tools such as Visual Studio, Bootstrap, jQuery. * Familiarity with back-end technologies including Java (Spring Framework), Python (Django), PHP, C#, Ruby on Rails. * Hands-on experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB. * Knowledge of APIs (RESTful services), SOAP web services; experience integrating third-party APIs. * Understanding of system architecture principles; experience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira or Trello. * Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions; containerization tools like Docker. * Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN. * Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Familiarity with UX principles and data visualization techniques to enhance user engagement. * Ability to work effectively in Linux environments; knowledge of application deployment on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.

Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour
