The Ministry of Community Safety is seeking dedicated individuals to join Prince Albert Correctional Centre as permanent part-time Correctional Officers. Strong communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, decision-making and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to assess risk, interpret legislation, policies and procedures, and work with diverse populations. A university degree in Social Sciences, a diploma in Law Enforcement, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is typically required. Applicants must hold a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 drivers licence or equivalent and a valid First Aid and CPR/AED certificate. Responsibilities include maintaining the safety and security of the correctional facility, supervising offenders, supporting case planning and reintegration activities, leading programming, assessing risk and responding to incidents using appropriate intervention strategies.
