Prairie Co-operative is hiring for one Accountant position within our Finance team. This position will be filled as either an accountant II (Intermediate) or Accountant III (Fully Functional). To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.prairieco-op.crs What You'll Do:Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accountant works collaboratively with the Finance team to support the organization's financial operations through accounting, reporting, analysis, and process improvement. Key responsibilities include: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports for management, the Board, and external stakeholdersPerforming general accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed asset and inventory accountingSupporting consolidated financial reporting, audits, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of accounting standardsIdentifying reporting discrepancies, strengthening financial controls, and improving processes and efficiencies;Assisting with long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and organizational projects;Providing leadership, mentorship, and support to Finance and Administration team members.
