NutraLab Canada Corporation is one of Canada?s premier contract manufacturers of natural health supplements. We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
*Position Overview:*
*Title:* Mechanical Maintenance Engineer *Location: *In-person at 980 Tapscott Rd., Scarborough, ON M1X 1C3 *Job Type:* Full-time *Salary: *To be negotiated *Benefits: *Group insurance benefits
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment (softgel, capsule, tablet, powder, liquid, gummy, packaging) to ensure reliability and minimize downtime. * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, develop solutions, and implement repairs promptly. * Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment efficiency and safety. * Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. * Maintain detailed maintenance records and report on equipment performance. * Lead or assist in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new equipment. * Implement and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all safety regulations. * Participate in continuous improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and process enhancements.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing, preferably in food, beverage, or supplement production. * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, automated machinery, electrical motors, pumps, and conveyor systems. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics. * Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. * Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards is highly desirable.
