About this role
*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and has a keen eye for detail.
We use *Tracker *Software. Days will be Tuesday - Saturday. Closed on the long weekend Saturdays.
*Duties*
* Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. * Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care. * Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. * Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols. * Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. * Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth operation of the practice. * Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims, and inventory management.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures. * Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is advantageous. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus. * Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology is desirable but not mandatory.
