*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our supply chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services essential for manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of SAP, ERP systems, and demand planning to support lean manufacturing initiatives and maintain efficient supply chain operations. The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in fostering supplier relationships, analyzing procurement data, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the organization.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services. * Utilize SAP, MRP, and other ERP systems to track inventory levels, demand forecasts, and procurement activities. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, demand planning, and supply chain to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with production schedules. * Conduct supplier evaluations and develop strong vendor relationships to secure quality products at competitive prices. * Implement lean manufacturing principles by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction within procurement workflows. * Monitor market trends and supplier performance metrics to optimize sourcing decisions. * Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. * Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing procurement data and recommending process enhancements.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in procurement within a manufacturing or supply chain environment. * Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, MRP, and demand planning tools. * Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and supply chain best practices. * Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial supplier relationships. * Ability to analyze data effectively to inform purchasing decisions and optimize inventory levels. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. * Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with suppliers. * Bachelor?s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute education requirements.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
