Owned by Maibec Inc (headquartered in Québec), Maibec CanExel is a trusted leader in prefinished siding, with a long history of manufacturing exterior siding that is designed to be exceptionally durable while maintaining its authentic beauty. Maibec CanExel has been in business for over 55 years and has a workforce of approximately 180 employees in our East River facility.
Maibec CanExel is located in East River, Nova Scotia (just outside of Hubbards). The location is 1 minute off Exit 7 from Highway #103, making it an easy commute of approximately 30 minutes from Bayers Lake or Bridgewater.
Maibec CanExel is seeking a *Red Seal* *Industrial Electrician* *or a 3rd or 4th year apprentice Electrician* to join a dynamic team in East River, Nova Scotia.
Industrial Electricians are part of the Maintenance team who perform predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions under minimal supervision.
The base rate of pay for a Red Seal certified Electrician is *$40.01/hour.*

*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Conduct electrical PMs * Assist in continuous improvement projects and reliability * Maintain and Troubleshoot PLC Systems * Maintain and troubleshoot 4160V systems (training provided) * MCC and motor troubleshooting/repair * Maintain a high standard for safety and good trade practices * Assist in the training of other electricians? apprentices and site personnel based on your skills and abilities * Actively participate in EHS Programs
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Red Seal Construction or Industrial Electrician (3rd/4th year apprentices may be considered based on experience) * Basic Knowledge of PLC * Electrical troubleshooting skills * Experience in various HMI software an asset * Experience on VFD, are an asset * 4160V or other high voltage an asset * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings * Good communication, interpersonal skills and writing skills. * Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations. * Good problem-solving ability * Strong computer skills
