Job Description
As a *Strategic Development Associate*, you will participate in a structured rotational program designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the wholesale distribution business. Throughout the program, you will gain practical experience in warehouse operations, customer service, sales, purchasing, inventory management, logistics, project management, and business operations.
Rather than simply learning each department, you'll develop the leadership, analytical, and business skills necessary to become a future leader within the organization. You'll work closely with experienced managers, contribute to strategic initiatives, and help improve the processes that drive our business forward.
Program Phases
*Phase 1 ? Warehouse & Logistics*
Build a strong operational foundation by learning our products, warehouse systems, inventory processes, shipping and receiving, and the flow of products from supplier to customer.
You'll learn to:
* Understand product applications and specifications * Receive, stock, and pick inventory accurately * Coordinate shipping and logistics * Develop knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations * Appreciate the importance of operational excellence in customer satisfaction
*Phase 2 ? Operations & Customer Experience*
Develop a thorough understanding of the daily operations that support our customers and business.
Responsibilities include:
* Customer service and counter sales * Order processing and fulfillment * Inventory and pricing management * Vendor coordination * Credit and financial processes * Branch operations and workflow improvement
*Phase 3 ? Inside Sales & Project Management*
Expand your commercial knowledge by supporting customers and managing projects from quotation through completion.
You'll:
* Prepare quotations and product solutions * Support contractors, engineers, and builders * Coordinate large commercial and residential projects * Build technical product knowledge * Develop consultative selling skills
