*Overview* We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling, safety, and preparation, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment. *Responsibilities*
* Prepare and present sushi dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards. * Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are strictly followed. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. * Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. * Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. * Stay updated on current food trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings. * Provide exceptional customer service by accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. * Strong knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and meal preparation techniques. * Familiarity with various types of sushi, ingredients, and cooking methods. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. * Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to food presentation. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
*Must Haves:*
· A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Sushi chef or a roll man
· Open availability- including mornings, evenings, and weekends
· A desire to grow and learn in a dynamic work environment
