About this role
*About the Role:* Browndale Farm is seeking a dependable and hardworking herds person to join our dairy operation. This position is based in a modern dairy barn using a robotic milking system and involves hands-on work with livestock and daily barn tasks.
*Responsibilities:*
* Assisting with general farm maintenance and daily chores * Cleaning and maintaining stalls, alleys, and milking areas * Feeding and caring for calves, including monitoring their health and development * Monitoring herd health and reporting any concerns or irregularities * Assisting with moving cattle between pens when needed * Supporting calving and general animal care as required * Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized barn environment
*Qualifications:*
* Strong work ethic and reliability * Comfortable working with livestock and in a barn environment * Ability to perform physically demanding tasks * Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed * Previous farm or dairy experience is an asset, but not require
