This position reports directly to theRegional Director of Transportation, Logistics and Coordinator for Protection ServicesQualifications:Successful completion of High School.Class IV driver?s license.Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.Certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.Experience in aircraft dispatching preferred.Knowledge of the Provincial Air Ambulance System.Knowledge of the Labrador-Grenfell Regional Integrated Health Authority geographic area of responsibility.Satisfactory Code of Conduct is required.Duties: (Included but not limited to)Arrange flights.Transport freight & staff to & from Airport.Maintains records related to various phases of patient movement.Liaises with ground transportation officials, nursing/medical personnel, and hospital officials to ensure timelyand safe transportation of patients and staff.Coordinates appropriate ambulance or ground transportation for each emergency response.Ability to work independently.Must be professional in appearance and conduct.Other related duties.
