*First Aid Instructor (Part-Time)*
*Location:* Moncton, NB *Position Type:* Part Time *Hourly Range:* $20.00?$22.00/hour (based on experience level)
Life Start Training is seeking a confident, dependable, and engaging *Part-Time First Aid Instructor* to join our instructional team.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality first aid, CPR, and AED training to public participants, workplace groups, and private clients while creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive learning environment.
This position is scheduled for approximately *three shifts per week*, with shifts alternating between weekdays and weekends based on the course schedule. Some flexibility is available when building the schedule; however, applicants must be willing and able to work both weekday and weekend shifts.
Additional shifts may be available based on course demand, private bookings, employee availability, and operational needs.
Courses may be delivered at a Life Start Training location or at private client workplaces within the surrounding area.
*Instructor Training Provided*
Previous first aid instructor certification is not required to apply.
Life Start Training will provide the successful candidate with the required *First Aid Instructor Training Program* as part of their on-boarding and professional development.
The successful candidate will be required to complete all employer-provided training, mentorship, practice teaching, observations, and applicable instructor evaluations before being approved to teach courses independently.
Candidates must be willing to learn and consistently follow Life Start Training?s approved programs, instructional standards, policies, and quality-assurance requirements.
*About the Role:*
As a *part-time Instructor *you'll:
* Deliver Basic First Aid, Intermediate First Aid, CPR, AED, and other approved Life Start Training programs. * Facilitate full in-person, blended, and hybrid training programs. * Teach course content accurately and in accordance with Life Start Training policies, regulatory requirements, and approved program standards. * Clearly demonstrate first aid and CPR skills. * Provide participants with sufficient opportunities to practise skills and receive constructive feedback. * Evaluate participant knowledge and practical skills fairly and consistently. * Create an inclusive, respectful, supportive, and engaging learning environment. * Prepare classrooms, equipment, participant materials, and course documentation before each class. * Complete attendance records, participant evaluations, course paperwork, and certification requirements accurately and on time. * Inspect, clean, organize, and return training equipment after each course. * Identify participant concerns, course issues, equipment problems, or potential compliance concerns and report them promptly. * Follow all company policies relating to health and safety, accessibility, confidentiality, documentation, and professional conduct.

* Be comfortable speaking, presenting, and demonstrating skills in front of groups. * Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. * Be dependable, punctual, professional, and prepared. * Be comfortable providing constructive feedback and evaluating participant performance. * Be willing and able to learn and consistently deliver standardized course content. * Be able to work independently while remaining accountable to the instructional and compliance team. * Have access to a reliable vehicle and be able to travel to scheduled training locations when required. * Be able to use basic technology, including email, online course systems, virtual meeting platforms, and digital documentation. * Be physically able to demonstrate first aid and CPR skills, including working at floor level, kneeling, bending, and moving training equipment.
